At this point just explore plants and upgrade farming/gathering to what you think is necessary for you. You can use a saw during crafting to make sticks and planks without lvl requirement. Gathering 8 lets you use the saw as an axe. Farm 12 lets you use bonemeal(if plants have a season requirement, they wont grow unless under greenhouse glass).
